ABDA Events Calendar Page Policies & Procedures

The function of the ABDA Events Calendar is to inform ABDA members and the community at large of belly dance events, and events directly related to belly dancing, being held in Austin, TX and the surrounding area.  Additionally, this calendar may include events hosted by ABDA members outside of the Austin area, as well as large scale events outside of the area which may be of interest to the community at large. This is not a comprehensive calendar. We will make every effort to list all pertinent events.

Who can request listing of an event? Calendar requests may only be submitted by ABDA members. Please only submit information for events which you personally manage, or for which you have been given the authority to promote.

What type of events can be listed? Belly dance shows, workshops, conventions, retreats, gatherings, and ABDA meetings and activities. Weekly classes are not featured on this calendar, and will (soon) be posted on a separate page.

Posting procedures: The ABDA Event Calendar is updated twice monthly, by member/volunteer Valerie Aguirre.

Deadlines: 1st day of the month for posting on 15th of the month; 16th day of the month for posting on last day of the month. 

Incomplete information will not be posted. 1) Title of event  2) Date of event (Is this a recurring event?) 3) Time (start & end)  4) Location name w/ complete address  5) Name of submitting member  6) Host/Sponsor (if other than member)  7) Brief description  8) Website or link to event info
