Everyone seems to love getting their "rewind" posts from different apps telling us exactly how many times we listened to the Hadestown soundtrack while doing chores (I admit, maybe that's just me). In 2023, ABDA went back to basics while also adding some fun social elements. I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

We hosted our annual garage sale for used belly dance costumes, supplies, and accessories. Besides selling and shopping, members could sign up to perform in a more informal setting. We had a full house of vendors and some really great performances!

We hosted our summer social event with hours of shopping and dancing. Dancers of all styles and all skill levels got to perform. We screened Amaya's American Belly Dance Icons, which features several influential Texas icons. This follow-up to "American Belly Dance Legends" was released in January 2020. Our vendors included ABDA member-owned dance-related businesses selling custom jewelry, make-up, costumes, accessories, body stockings, veils, costume cover-ups, and more.

Our Fall for Bellydance event showcased our members, including teachers, students, and special guests. If you performed at the show, there's still time to get a video of your piece!
